What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Product Manager - Technical, Efficiency & Automation, Support Products & Services position at Amazon Advertising LLC?
DESCRIPTION
Key job responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of automation and efficiency initiatives spanning campaign workflow optimization, knowledge management, creative asset management, and AI agent development
- Drive end-to-end delivery of cross-tool integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Slack) by writing business requirements documents, conducting technical scoping with engineering teams, managing partner team dependencies, and navigating security and compliance approvals
- Own the product strategy for a centralized, AI-enabled Advertising Services Knowledge Base — establishing governance frameworks, content quality standards, and metadata architecture, enabling role-specific agent customization
- Collaborate with engineering teams to accelerate platform launches, both within the team and supporting away teams, by determining optimal resource allocation, defining launch criteria, and projecting in-year operational savings
- Identify and prioritize new automation opportunities through deep operational analysis, quantify productivity impact, validate savings estimates with Finance, and present proposals to senior leadership
A day in the life
You will start your day reviewing project status across multiple in-flight engineering initiatives — checking whether technical scoping is on track, unblocking partner team dependencies, and assessing risks to delivery timelines. You might spend your morning in a design review with engineers, asking probing questions about scalability, or designing data governance mechanisms. After lunch, you could be drafting a business requirements document for a Salesforce integration, synthesizing input from Campaign Managers, Ad Operations, and Creative Services to define requirements that serve the entire organization. Later, you may meet with Finance to validate productivity estimates for a creative workflow automation project, then close the day by preparing a status update for leadership on your portfolio's progress toward annual savings targets. No two days are the same, but every day involves making trade-offs, clearing blockers, and driving decisions that move complex, cross-functional initiatives forward.
