Role Description This is a full-time remote Certified Home Health Aide role, supporting clients in their homes within assigned service areas. The Home Health Aide provides direct personal care, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other activities of daily living according to the care plan. Daily responsibilities include monitoring client condition, reporting changes to supervisors or nurses, and following safety and infection-control guidelines. The role involves offering companionship, helping with light homemaking tasks, and supporting mobility to promote independence and comfort. The Home Health Aide documents services provided, maintains accurate records, and communicates clearly with clients, families, and the APSA care team while adhering to agency policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong Home Care and Patient Care skills, with experience providing safe, compassionate support in a client’s residence.
- Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Personal Care skills, such as hygiene support, skin care, and basic comfort measures tailored to individual needs.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and care team members, and for reporting changes in client condition.
- Current certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent credential, meeting state or regional requirements.
- Knowledge of basic health and safety practices, including infection control, fall prevention, and emergency response procedures.
- Reliable transportation to client homes within the designated service area and ability to manage a full-time schedule.
- Demonstrated professionalism, respect for client privacy and confidentiality, and ability to work independently under supervision.
