Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-time Activity Director to enrich the lives of residents through engaging and meaningful recreational programs. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for enhancing senior well-being, with experience in activity planning, assisted living, or long-term care environments. As an Activity Director, you will design and implement diverse activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and overall quality of life for residents, including those with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly activities programs for residents
- Organize group activities such as games, crafts, exercise and holiday events.
- Develop activities suitable for residents with memory care needs.
- Maintain an activity calendar and post schedules for residents and families.
- Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships

Experience
- Prior experience in activity planning within assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care facilities is a must.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, memory care programming, and dementia-specific activities is essential.
- Background in recreational therapy, social work, or caregiving roles that involve working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules effectively while balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills to engage residents, families, and team members professionally and empathetically.
