Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among preschool children
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, play-based learning, and structured educational exercises
- Support children with special needs through tailored interventions and collaboration with specialists in early intervention and special education
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation among students
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of student development, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor growth and inform instruction
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques
- Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschoolers with diverse needs
- Proficiency in classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Ability to work effectively with children across different developmental stages
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies such as early literacy education or math instruction for young learners
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, daycare standards, and child welfare practices
- Skilled in lesson planning for various subjects including physical education, literacy, math, and social-emotional learning
- Experience working in daycare settings is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive environment that supports children’s overall well-being and development
