We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCA/Caregiver to provide exceptional support and personal care to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly
- Support medication administration following prescribed guidelines and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs
- Utilize proper patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe mobility assistance
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks
- Document care activities accurately in care plans and communicate effectively with team members regarding client progress
Skills
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice support techniques
- Ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of distress or emergencies such as first aid or CPR certification is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and team members about resident’s rights and personalized care plans
- Manual handling skills including heavy lifting and patient transfer methods to ensure safety during mobility assistance
- Familiarity with HIPAA standards to protect client confidentiality at all times
- Capable of assisting with transportation needs within the community or to medical appointments
