Company Description Amazing Athletes is a Franchise 500-ranked mobile children’s program that introduces young participants to 10 different ball sports while building six key areas of motor development. The curriculum is year-round, structured, and delivered in a non-competitive, learning-focused environment. Coaches work with each child at their individual progression level, supporting them in reaching their highest potential. Weekly classes highlight two sports and one motor-development area, while also improving hand-eye coordination, muscle tone, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. Amazing Athletes is dedicated to instilling lifelong healthy habits in children through positive, engaging athletic experiences.
Role Description The Sports Coach will lead small-group classes for young children, following the Amazing Athletes curriculum in an engaging, age-appropriate manner. Day-to-day tasks include introducing and demonstrating sports skills, organizing drills and activities, and monitoring motor-development progress for each child. The coach will maintain a safe, inclusive environment, communicate with parents or guardians, and provide feedback on participant progress. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Kirkland, WA (Eastside Seattle Area) requiring reliable attendance/transportation and consistent class delivery during scheduled hours.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Physical Education and Sports Training, with the ability to teach basic skills and motor-development concepts.
- Demonstrated experience in Coaching and Sports Coaching, ideally with children or youth programs.
- Clear and positive Communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with children, families, and team members.
- Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or athletic settings; commitment to a non-competitive, learning-focused approach.
- Ability to maintain a safe play environment, including basic knowledge of child safety and injury prevention.
- Reliable transportation to on-site class locations in Eastside Seattle, WA and surrounding areas, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or a degree in kinesiology, education, or a related field is beneficial.
- Background check clearance and compliance with all local child-safety regulations.
- Adult/Infant CPR/AED Preferred
- First Aid Cert Preferred
- Bloodborne Pathogens Cert Preferred

$25-32 an hour
