- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning machinery to maintain pristine floor surfaces.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct sanitation procedures including waste disposal, disinfecting surfaces, and maintaining hygiene standards across all facilities.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall facility upkeep.
- Follow safe lifting practices when moving heavy furniture or equipment to prevent injury during manual handling tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and safety compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and chemical agents.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks; capable of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward team members and visitors.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and upkeep tasks.
