Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies, with expertise in Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading large datasets.
- Develop and manage data solutions using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, flat files, and streaming platforms.
- Implement batch and real-time data processing solutions.SA
- Optimize data models, SQL queries, and cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with Data Architects, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and application teams.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and production issues.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Required Skills
- 7 years of experience in Data Engineering.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong experience with:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Dataproc
- Cloud Storage
- Pub/Sub
- Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, or Java.
- Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of cloud security and IAM concepts.
