Job Title: Hardware Installation Technician (Level I)
Location: Washington, DC
Job Type: Full-Time
Target Salary Range*: $40,000-$42,000
*This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, and support of new Windows based computer systems.
- Install Image and software on laptops and workstation
- Prepare the computers for deployments and support the deployment activities
- Assist with the installation and support of computer systems and peripherals. Coordinates with Management for inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipping needs.
- Assist in assuring that work products comply with established deliverable guidelines including format and content.
- Assist in the development of documentation based on the customer's processes.
- Travel to customer sites and perform deployment activities to include, site surveys, installs hardware, install software, remove hardware, check hardware for shipment etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- HS 2 Years of experience in Information Technology
Experience:
- Deploying/Installing Hardware, Software, Workstations, monitors, etc.
- Working hands-on with IT equipment and inventory
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrating sound judgement, initiative, and effective decision making.
- Skilled with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Certifications:
- Must have active interim Secret of above
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be willing to travel outside the country up to 60% of the tine.
