Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Mechanical Design Engineering to oversee and guide mechanical design activities across multiple product development programs.

This role requires a hands-on engineering leader with strong product development expertise, excellent technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary and multi-site teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, injection molding, and medical device or regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and lead technical design teams across one or more development programs in a multi-disciplinary and multi-site environment.
Develop and communicate technical action plans while aligning priorities with internal and external stakeholders.
Support planning activities and identify the resources required to ensure successful execution of technical design programs.
Identify technical risks early and propose solutions considering cost, timing, and product requirements.
Design, build, and test prototypes to evaluate and characterize product performance.
Solve complex engineering and product development challenges within timeline and budget constraints.
Collaborate with tooling and manufacturing experts to implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Develop detailed designs ready for high-volume production.
Guide and mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Collaborate across departments including manufacturing, quality, validation, and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
7 years of product development and mechanical design experience.
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements such as FDA and ISO.
Proficiency with CAD software, including SolidWorks and other engineering design tools.
Experience managing technical aspects of device or product development programs.
Strong understanding of high-volume manufacturing, injection molding, and automation processes.
Excellent technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience leading technical teams.
