What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Amarillo Veterianry Clinic?
We are currently looking for Full Time Veterinary Technician. The candidate must have a minimum of 1 years experience as a veterinary technician. The candidates should have good customer service skills and work well with others. A working knowledge of IV catheter placement, vaccinations, radiology and being able to take vitals plus obtain history on animals is required.

- Act as the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarians and clinic to ensure the best quality pet care and to maximize the veterinarian's and clinics productivity.
- Communicate with veterinarian, veterinary technicians and all other associates to maintain the flow of patients.
- Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times.
- Educate clients about preventive care, pet health needs, hospital services and other issues.
- Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates
- Job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- Ability to be confident around pets (i.e., dogs & cats)
- Ability to lift, carry and move up to 65 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography (x-ray) and exposure to radioactive substances.
- We are closed on the weekends.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
