Amaral Bus Co., Inc. is a fast-growing, local, family-owned company looking for a reliable, motivated and positive Transportation Dispatcher who is detail-oriented, has a positive attitude and is looking to grow within the company.
This role will serve to coordinate the daily movement of vehicles, assign routes, and be the primary communication link between drivers, clients, and management. As well as ensure timely, cost-effective operations and resolve en-route emergencies or delays.
Responsibilities
- Assist with radio dispatch calls
- Data entry: creating daily routes and charter orders
- Updating route changes and ensuring affected staff is aware and prepared.
- Processing in service license renewals
- Answer and direct phone calls from customers and employees
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters and appropriate forms
- Assist with copies, filing and filling out paperwork properly
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by phone, email and in person in a timely fashion
Skills
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers, radios, email, google drive
- Technological proficiency without assistance
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Strong knowledge of roadways in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island is a plus
- Positive team player but willing to work independently and takes initiative to accomplish tasks
Requirements
- Valid MA or RI Driver's License, reliable transportation
- Clean CORI background check
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a CDL Class B with School Bus and Passenger endorsements and 7D/PTV certificate. We are willing to train the right candidate for this position
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
