Amara-YAH, LLC is a family-owned business with extensive experience working with individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) disorders and Developmental Disabilities. The owner of the agency brings 30 years of expertise in the field, having worked in various settings such as residential, community, and behavioral health treatment environments. Since its establishment in 2019, Amara-YAH has provided Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) to individuals with developmental disabilities.

The Direct Care Worker will be responsible for providing care and support for adults or children and helping them meet their developmental and social needs. The position includes a diverse set of responsibilities that require attention to detail, superior interpersonal skills and flexibility.

Responsibilities:
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred.
Be patient and empathetic with residents.
Communicate with Residents in a kind and respectful manner.
Work cooperatively with other healthcare providers.
Follow the prescribed treatment and behavioral plan.
Have a working knowledge of current medical practices, procedures, and medications.
Develop a good working relationship with Residents and their families.
Demonstrate respect for residents' rights.
Ability to safely lift and assist with transferring individuals as needed.
Demonstrate respect for the beliefs and culture of residents’ populations.
Adhere to all Article 9 requirements.
Must be able to obtain an Article 9, Prevention and Support, and a CPR & First Aid certificate.
Must be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card.
Must have a current driver’s license.

Pay: $14.35 - $19.00 per hour
