Amano Restaurant Group recently purchased and renovated an old bank building that will houses two different concepts AMANO and CÁN.

Amano is the flagship craft Mexican food and cocktail experience that has earned a James Beard Award for Best Chef in Mountain Region. This concept celebrates regional dishes and wine through Mexico and popular Mexican culture through its loteria menu cocktail program.

CÁN, the newest concept, is a Mexican speakeasy that celebrates Mexican art culture alongside food, remedios, and spirits. Cán is short for Michoacán, where our Chef, Salvador Alamilla is from.

We are looking for a Host to support our wait staff and set up our dining areas. Hosts greet guests with a warm welcome, manage reservations and the flow of the restaurant. They also ensure that tables are set to standard and ready to receive guests. They help execute guests needs with communication to the staff.

This position really is the first impression of our restaurant, and ensures the guests that they are well taken care of. Our hospitality from our staff helps create memorable experiences for our guests with genuine intention of helping our guests, smiling, etc.

Responsibilities

• Make and manage reservations for guests
• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
• Decorate tables with candles, napkins, linens. etc.
• Place tableware and glasses on tables
• Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
• Clean and reset tables after guests leave
• Seat guests at appropriate tables as well as fulfill any seating preference requests the guests may have
• Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
• Maintain cleanliness of guest restrooms throughout service
• Communication is a huge part of this role to ensure standards of restaurant are met
• Answer guest phone calls in a polite and helpful manner
• Direct guests to reservation specialist for bigger groups

Skills

• LOVES connecting and talking to people.
• Gets genuine enjoyment from helping people and creating special moments.
• Work experience as a Host, Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a restaurant is a plus
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and some holidays
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
• Physical ability and stamina to stand for long hours
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus!

PAY

• This position starts at $10 Tips.
• Wage range depends on experience.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
