We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient caregiver to provide one-on-one support for an adult female with developmental disabilities. This position focuses on promoting safety, community involvement, and quality of life in a respectful and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including hygiene, toileting, dressing, grooming, etc.

Plan and prepare nutritious meals

Assist with grocery shopping, household organization, and daily living activitiesPlan and support participation in community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and social events

Encourage and support engagement, communication, and positive routines

Provide companionship and emotional support while maintaining dignity and respect

Monitor safety and overall well-beingTransport safely using your own reliable vehicleMust be able to transport to/from Magalia and Chico

Maintain documentation, schedules, and communication with family members and care team

Qualifications

Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred

Compassionate, reliable, calm, and attentive personality

Ability to assist with personal care in a respectful and professional manner

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordReliable insured vehicle for transportation and community outings

Ability to pass background checkCPR/First Aid certification preferred

Compensation

Start at $22/hr plus mileage and tech reimbursement

Schedule

Wednesday-Friday 2:00PM-9:00PM

Saturday 8:00Am-4:00PM

General Job Description for Weekdays

Pickup at 2pm at pre-designated spot

- Participate in recreational/community activity

- Home for dinner around 5pm- Prepare and serve dinner

- Check for any cleaning/organizing that needs to be done

- Nightly hygiene routine (bath, brush teeth, assist with getting dressed and bedtime)

- Finish any cleaning and organizing

- Following day planning and prep

General Job Description for Weekends

-Complete morning routine(Assist with getting up and getting dressed, remake bed, clean and organize bedroom, check for any other cleaning/organizing that needs to be done, prepare breakfast, do hair, assist with toileting, brush teeth, gather backpack and supplies for the day, assist with shoes, socks, and jacket if needed.)

- Participate in recreational/community activity

- Run Errands if needed- Return home

- Finish any cleaning and organizing

Transportation & Community Support

-Provide safe transportation and maintain a reliable vehicle.

Personal Care
- Full Assist with bathing, toileting, hygiene, grooming, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
- Ensure comfort, dignity, health, and safety at all times.Meal Planning and Preparation

Household Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bedroom.

- Kitchen cleanup
- Dishwashing
- Laundry as needed
- Bathroom sanitation
- Light housekeeping and organization
- Ensure supplies needed for daily care are stocked and available.Documentation &

Communication
- Complete required daily documentation accurately and promptly.
- Record significant events, behaviors, activities, and health-related observations.
- Communicate effectively with family members and care team.

Preparation for Following Day
- Check calendar in the binder when planning and organizing the next day's schedule and activities.
- Prepare clothing, meals, supplies, and materials needed for upcoming appointments or activities.
Examples: weather and activity appropriate clothing, extra snacks and water, toys, sunscreen, bug spray, etc.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
