What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Amanda Henson?
We are looking for a woman caregiver to care for our cheerful and fun, wheelchair bound lady. Some of the duties are to help feed her, shower her, and get her into bed 1 night per week. Night shift begins at 7pm. Flexibility to cover other shifts is a must. This position is also for day shift on Saturday and Sunday. Day shift is from 8am-7pm. If interested this could become full time. The ideal candidate will be a punctual self starter. Reliable, dependable and organized, patient, and friendly. Night shifts start at 7pm until the work is complete. It is not unusual to go until 2-3am. One year of caregiving experience preferred, but not required. Position available immediately.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and hygiene including showers and getting to bed at night.
- Household tasks.
- Help taking prescribed medications (no opioids), and giving food and water.
- Other duties as well.
- Will cover majority of the job during the interview.
Skills
- Experience as a caregiver is ideal, but not a requirement.
- You will need to be healthy and able to lift 60lbs.
- A strong work ethic.
- Valid drivers license and the ability to get yourself to work and home.
