Licensed unarmed Security officers needed.
We are looking for Security Officers to maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
Unarmed Security Detail for Migrant Shelters
Position Title: Unarmed Security Officer
Location: (North/West of Chicago)
Organization: Non-for-profit organization
Job Type: Full-time short term (6 months-1 year)
Responsibilities:
- Provide security and safety for residents, staff, and visitors within the migrant shelter premises.
- Monitor access points, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents promptly.
- Ensure compliance with shelter rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a secure environment.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in security or related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and respectful demeanor toward migrants.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a background check.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency is a plus.
Compensation:

Working conditions:
- Some sites consist of Indoor and outdoor posts which may involve inclement weather conditions, i.e., rain, snow, extreme heat.
Physical requirement:

- Additional physical requirements may include, frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
