· Working knowledge of federal and Iowa drinking-water regulations, sampling plans, laboratory procedures, disinfection, water chemistry, distribution maintenance, and regulatory reporting.

· Demonstrated competency in drinking-water sampling and preservation, field instrumentation, quality control, and chain of custody.

· Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the company.

· Ability to use computerized control, work-order, mapping, recordkeeping, and reporting systems; interpret plans, specifications, and laboratory results; and communicate effectively with customers, employees, regulators, engineers, and contractors.

· Prior supervisory experience and public water supply operations and maintenance experience strongly preferred.

· Scheduled weekend water testing and system checks, plus on-call availability for emergencies, overtime, and holidays as operational needs require.

· Work is performed in offices, utility facilities, confined spaces, streets, excavations, and outdoors in varying weather, with required safety procedures and personal protective equipment.
