Quality Control Technician

Amalfi Trading is a leading worldwide distributor of electronic components. Our components are used in telecommunications, computing, medical electronics, automotive electronics, defense and aerospace electronics, and in industrial environments.

The Quality Control Technician will assist with receiving incoming deliveries, inspecting components, and preparing shipments in an air-conditioned warehouse. Hours are M-F 9:00am to 5:00pm. Starting pay is $17.00-$18.00/hr. (depending on experience). There will be a 90 day probationary period and review. 2 weeks paid vacation and paid national holidays after 90 days. Health insurance option offered after 90 days. Applicant must provide references. A criminal background check will be performed.

Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work with a sense of urgency in order to meet deadlines are vitally important.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician:

• Receive and confirm incoming deliveries
• Inspect incoming products
• Create documents for outgoing domestic and international shipments with 100% accuracy.
• Identify and pull product as listed on sales orders to prepare shipments
• Inventory Management: identify components by item number, manufacturer, quantity, date code, and country of origin
• Keeps warehouse area clean and organized
• Works closely with the warehouse manager to keep the shipping and receiving department in smooth working order.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 YEAR employment in a RECEIVING/INSPECTION position
• Must possess the ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word and Excel for receiving and invoicing product
• Must be extremely organized with impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
• Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess the ability to work independently and efficiently
• Must have reliable transportation and be punctual
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Must be 100% fluent in the English language

Experience with the following is preferred but not required:

• International Shipping experience - SEDs and Harmonized Codes
• FedEx, UPS and DHL shipping software, knowledge of AES
