Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting products by offering knowledgeable advice and product demonstrations
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions and cash register operations
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to meet customer needs and increase sales
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, cashiering, and balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and following store guidelines
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and inventory counts
- Provide bilingual support when needed to serve a diverse customer base
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or grocery store environments with strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math calculations
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and stock management
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and team members
- Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and stock replenishment strategies
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, and cashiering procedures
- Strong phone etiquette for professional remote communication
