The Server at ama is the cornerstone of the guest experience, embodying the refined elegance of a fine-dining restaurant and the dynamic energy of a chic lounge. Servers must balance grace, efficiency, and attentiveness, ensuring each guest feels both indulged and at ease. This role is part of Chef Brad Kilgore’s new high-end concept in San Francisco, offering the opportunity to contribute to a restaurant that blends world-class cuisine with a vibrant, elevated lounge atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide polished, attentive, and personalized service throughout the dining and lounge experience.

• Guide guests through the menu, offering thoughtful suggestions and conveying knowledge of both cuisine and beverage pairings.

• Anticipate guest needs proactively, ensuring seamless pacing and flow of service.

• Coordinate effectively with the kitchen, bar, and lounge staff to ensure timing and presentation are consistent.

• Manage VIP guest experiences with discretion, precision, and elevated attentiveness.

• Maintain the aesthetic and energy of the space, balancing fine dining standards with the atmosphere of a social lounge.

• Handle guest concerns or issues with professionalism, discretion, and solutions-oriented thinking.

• Uphold the standards of ama through presence, demeanor, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in upscale dining, luxury hospitality, or high-end lounge environments.

• Strong food, wine, and cocktail knowledge, with an eagerness to continue learning.

• Poised under pressure with the ability to adapt to varying guest needs and flow of service.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to engage guests.

• Demonstrated commitment to the art of hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
