AM Signal is currently seeking qualified candidates to apply for our Rocky Mountain Estimator position. AM Signal LLC is a leading provider of traffic control equipment in the Western United States.

About this Role:

The primary function of the Estimator is to perform all aspects of bidding in the assigned territory to include actively seeking bid opportunities, providing bids / quotes for contractors, securing purchase orders, building and maintaining relationships, maximizing profits, preparing submittals, and ensuring accuracy of orders.

Location:

The desired candidate would be located in the Denver metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

Bidding

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, specifications, manufacturer pricing, previous bid tabulations, and related documents.
• Evaluates the material and labor costs of traffic projects.
• Works with vendors to secure special pricing or extend pricing for project duration.
• Searches for bids in territory.
• Obtains all necessary approvals, signatures, completed paperwork to submit bid documents.

Submittals

• Provides material submittal packets for products being supplied.

Order Processing

• Ensures accuracy of orders entered into the system.

Client Relations

• Maintains contacts and relationships with contractors.
• Negotiates with clients to secure orders.
• Follow Up with clients on open projects, requests feedback / bid tabulations.

Estimator Qualifications and Skills:

• 3 Years’ Experience in the traffic industry strongly desired.
• Strong ability to meet deadlines.
• Detailed and numbers oriented.
• Understanding of intersection plans / drawings.
• Ability to coordinate and work independently.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong relationship building skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary range is competitive and depends on experience plus commissions.
• Complete benefits package including 401k with employer matching (5%), health insurance premiums are 100% covered by employer for the employee, extra for family, and dental/vision insurance is optional.
