Job Overview
AM&J Tax Service is seeking motivated Remote Tax Preparers to join our team for the upcoming tax season. This is a seasonal, contract-based opportunity for new or experienced tax preparers who want to grow their skills, serve clients professionally, and build their own client base with training and support available.
Remote preparers have the option to retain 100% of the tax-preparation fees they generate. Set your own preparation fee per completed return, depending on the return and services provided. Earnings are performance-based and are not a guaranteed salary or hourly wage.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate individual income tax returns using approved tax software.
- Collect and review client tax documents and information.
- Follow federal and applicable state tax rules and due-diligence requirements.
- Communicate professionally with clients throughout the preparation process.
- Protect confidential taxpayer information.
- Complete training and software practice before preparing client returns.
- Research questions rather than guessing when unsure.
- Maintain organized client records and documentation.

Qualifications
