Technical Trainer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Technical Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that enhance the technical skills of our employees. This role requires a strong background in various technical fields and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in an engaging manner. The Technical Trainer will play a crucial role in supporting our workforce's development and ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills to excel in their roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training programs on technical subjects, including software applications, operating systems, and hardware management.
• Create instructional materials and resources using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Conduct hands-on training sessions in classroom settings, ensuring participants gain practical experience.
• Assess trainees' understanding through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date.
• Provide ongoing support and technical assistance to employees post-training, including troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
• Maintain records of training sessions, participant progress, and feedback for continuous improvement of training programs.

Skills

• Proficient in technical support, software troubleshooting, and customer service.
• Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and computer networking principles.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong teaching abilities with classroom experience in delivering engaging training sessions.
• Excellent computer management skills across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and familiarity with EMR systems.
• Knowledgeable in computer networking concept
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $32.00 per hour

• Do you have any experience of trainer, train new hire? If yes, how many years?
• Do you have any experience of knowledge of equipment used in a customers home for internet service (Optical Network Terminal, Routers, Modem, Drops, Fiber cable) ?
• Do you have experience of Troubleshooting equipment used for internet services?
• Do you have the capacity to be away from home from an extended period of time. Jan - July 2026? Company will reimburse for this.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Fiber Optic installation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Trainer: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computers & Tablets: 1 year (Preferred)
