Technical Trainer

Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Technical Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical support and training, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences. This role involves developing training materials, conducting workshops, and providing ongoing support to ensure that all participants can successfully utilize our systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging training programs on various technical subjects, including software applications, operating systems, and networking.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track participant progress and assess training effectiveness.
• Create instructional materials using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Captivate, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for software applications, ensuring users can effectively navigate systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to stay updated on new technologies and incorporate them into training programs.
• Conduct classroom-style training sessions as well as virtual workshops using platforms like Google Workspace and Microsoft Teams.
• Evaluate training needs through analysis skills to tailor programs that meet the specific requirements of different departments.
• Maintain documentation of training sessions and participant feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical support or IT roles with a strong understanding of computer management, networking, and software troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Google Workspace.
• Experience with programming languages
• Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers and computer networking principles.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $32.00 per hour

• Do you have any experience of knowledge of equipment used in a customers home for internet service (Optical Network Terminal, Routers, Modem, Drops, Fiber cable) ?
• Do you have experience of Troubleshooting equipment used for internet services?
• Do you have the capacity to be away from home from an extended period of time. Jan - July 2026? Company will reimburse for this.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Fiber Optic installation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Trainer: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computers & Tablets: 1 year (Preferred)
