Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on diverse biomedical equipment, including diagnostic imaging, patient monitors, infusion pumps, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment).
- Conduct calibration procedures using schematics, technical manuals, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines to ensure precise operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues utilizing mechanical knowledge, hand tools, and computer hardware diagnostics.
- Interpret schematics and technical documentation to diagnose faults accurately and implement effective repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software for tracking equipment history and compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs and provide timely field service support across multiple locations.
- Assist in training staff on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting techniques to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with OEM repair manuals, schematics, and calibration procedures for biomedical devices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools and computer hardware diagnostics.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to perform field service tasks efficiently in diverse healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of DME standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot complex electronic or mechanical issues effectively.
