Urgently Hiring: Special Needs Caregiver – Princeton, Texas
Part-Time | Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–9:00 PM
We are urgently seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a 16-year-old special needs individual who attends school.
The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, attentive, and comfortable assisting with personal care, daily activities, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 3:00 PM–9:00 PM
- Part-time position
- School-year schedule
Responsibilities
- Assist with getting the individual safely off the school bus and transitioning home
- Provide assistance with toileting and personal hygiene
- Assist with bathing and dressing
- Assist with feeding and eating as needed
- Prepare and assist with meals
- Provide hair, skin, and nail care
- Assist with laundry and changing bed linens
- Support daily activities and routines
- Encourage and participate in hobbies and recreational activities
- Assist with appropriate exercise and physical activities
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Follow the individual's care plan and family instructions
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children, teenagers, or individuals with special needs preferred
- Experience providing personal care is a plus
- Patient, compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy
- Comfortable assisting with toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, and other personal-care needs
- Able to commit to the Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–9:00 PM schedule
- Strong communication skills
- Must be dependable and punctual
