Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Service Provider to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with clients, offering direct support in daily activities while maintaining a safe and clean environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about care . We have positions open for DSP's and Drivers. Also have positions opening in Adult Day Program.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Assist clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
- Utilize knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, encouraging independence and promoting social interaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in direct support or care of individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Able to pass Background clearance
- Drivers license needed for some positions.
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- High school diploma/ GED
- Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus. (Cerfication opportunity available)
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for success in this role.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate client schedules.
