We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents or clients by delivering attentive, respectful, and personalized care. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
- Support medication administration following care plans and ensure proper documentation of all treatments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to assist with heavy lifting and transfers safely
- Engage residents in social activities or companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in condition or behavior
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or Dementia care are advantageous
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward caring for diverse populations
- Physical stamina for activities such as heavy lifting, long periods of standing or walking, and assisting with mobility
