Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:
- Analyze pharmaceutical pipeline assets to support the portfolio strategy in alignment with business strategy by selecting assets in small molecule segment including complex injectables, device based respiratory & injectables, 505 (b)(2) options, dermatology & other dose formats
- Support potential new products through primary & secondary market research, technology assessment, sales forecasting, and investment evaluation
- Assess product selection through development of the comprehensive business cases, P&L (Profit & Loss) and DCF (Discounted Cash Flow) based valuation models
- Review of portfolio’s operational models by collaborating with global interdisciplinary teams including stakeholders from intellectual property, regulatory, product development, medical affairs and sales & marketing for technical and commercial due diligence for prospective products
- Dynamic product prioritization based on cash inflow time horizons, Return on Investment, success probability and prevailing competitive scenario
- Portfolio rationalization by periodic assessment of input costs, patent scenario, competitive landscape, profitability margins, & market share dynamics
- Institutionalization of critical business processes related to new product selection, and strategic portfolio review
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills
