Pest Control Apprentice

We are currently looking for a Pest Control Apprentice who is serious about doing what it takes to be a part of our team.
Job Description
· Learn to inspect properties for pest and identify problems.
· Learn to apply the appropriate products to safely, effectively, and professionally eliminate pests.
· Learn to install and service termite bait stations, which requires the ability to crouch and bend.
· Utilize effective verbal and written communication to ensure the customer and our office staff are aware of any pest(s) identified, a description of the service performed, what, if any, product(s) were used, and any follow-ups required.
· Follow company policy and procedures, safety protocols and state regulations.
· Be a defensive driver at all times following all “rules of the road”, especially speed limits, regulations regarding cell phone usage while driving, courteous driving, etc.
· Use technology (mobile app) to follow your schedule knowing what locations, types of service(s), how to prepare yourself and your vehicle for the jobs for the day. Preparing your vehicle and performing services requires you to have the ability to regularly lift approximately 50 pounds at any given time.
· Maintain effective time management to ensure you complete all jobs in the time allotted and arrive at the job site when scheduled.
· Maintain a clean work environment and present a professional appearance.
· Provide an atmosphere where all customers and all fellow employees feel respected, valued, and appreciated.
Candidate Requirements
· No pest control experience necessary, we will train and license a qualified candidate.
· Must have a valid, clean driving record—no accidents or tickets in the past two (2) years. No DUI in the past seven (7) years.
· Must pass a background check and drug screening.
· Provide verifiable, stable work history for a minimum of five (5) years.
· Comfortable working in hot and cold weather with a minimum of two (2) years verifiable experience working outdoors.
· Comfortable working in tight spaces and on ladders.
· Comfortable with exposure to pests and chemicals.
· Have a strong work ethic with a desire to learn a CAREER—not just another job.
· Must be dependable and punctual with outstanding attendance.
· Be well groomed and have a professional appearance. For safety reasons, facial hair must be no longer than 1”.
· Must be in good physical health, able to withstand the heat and cold of working outdoors.
· Be self-motivated; able to work independently as well as part of a team for a common goal.
· Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Must be able to work a sliding schedule, including up to 2 Saturdays a month (after completing training).
· Must be comfortable working around dogs, cats, and other customer pets. We also have 2 dogs in our office—Cinnamon and Indigo.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
