Senior Infrastructure Engineer
GENERAL SCOPE & SUMMARY
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will contribute to the tasks carried out by the Cloud Virtualization and Storage (CVS) team at Alvaria. CVS manages business critical hypervisor, data storage and backup technologies over multiple sites worldwide. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate appropriate technical acumen, strong problem-solving capability and will be a team-player. CVS also manages several other technologies, including SFTP solutions and endpoint monitoring. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and desire to work with multiple, diverse technologies.
While the day-to-day tasks are focused on technology management, everything we do at Alvaria is about getting the best results for our customers, so the Infrastructure Engineer must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service. The role entails both project work and ticket handling and offers opportunity for technical and career growth. As CVS manages business critical technology, it operates a 24/7 365 on-call rotation in which all team members participate.
Technical Profile
You must have a minimum of 10 years hands-on experience (>50% of your days) in one technology area. This we will call your strength that you bring to the team. And you must be able to demonstrate knowledge, some ability in at least two other areas listed below.

- Must be experienced in leading your peers in your area of strength while architecting, trouble shooting and defining go forward configuration details.
- Managing and updating all assigned technical tickets in accordance with company policy and management direction
- Communicating with other Alvaria teams to bring about resolution and positive customer outcomes
- Root Cause Analysis
- Maintaining the operation of technology platforms managed by CVS
- On-Call "tier 1" level troubleshooting of all the above technologies
- Patch management
- Diagnostics
- Vendor liaison for hardware faults
- Operational monitoring
