The Team
The Public Sector Federal Practice is seeking qualified candidates that will work closely with a group of team members and Managing Directors to solve highly complex government challenges by leading strategy and implementation efforts across projects and drive growth across the Federal market portfolio.

The following annual base salary ranges are dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography: Manager: $125,000-$190,000. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
Full-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The Team
The Public Sector Federal Practice is seeking qualified candidates that will work closely with a group of team members and Managing Directors to solve highly complex government challenges by leading strategy and implementation efforts across projects and drive growth across the Federal market portfolio.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead project delivery and have engagement management responsibilities with high a focus on deliverable quality and client relationships.
- Developing findings and making strategic recommendations
- Working with clients directly to implement strategic and operational recommendations
- Hands-on experience through consulting projects or engagement in one or more of the following areas:
- Acquisitions and procurement
- Financial modeling and forecasting
- Sustainment/Maintenance and repair operations
- Sourcing and supply chain
- Operations management
- Support pursuit activities related to the Federal pipeline executing all elements of the capture lifecycle.
- Lead responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotation (RFQs) and serve as a proposal manager.
- Develop transformation-based solutions addressing client challenges related to the firm capabilities and relevant offerings.
- Coach and mentor team member professionals.
- 5 years of relevant work experience within the Defense market at a Big 4 or Strategy consulting firm.
- Strong business acumen and technical experience delivering strategy, performance improvement and operational efficiency projects with Federal clients.
- Previous experience working in an account team and the ability to lead proposals and support capture.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Accounting or Engineering (preferred).
- Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
