The Team
The Associate Director, People Business Partner is a people leader within the Global People Organization, acting as a critical link between People Partners, People Programs, and People Services. The role is accountable for leading, developing, and scaling a high‑performing team of People Business Partners. This role focuses on enabling PBPs to deliver consistent, high‑quality people support across the business through coaching, operational excellence, and strategic alignment. This role is integral to driving alignment between business unit goals and organizational people practices, fostering growth, and enhancing the employee experience.

The salary range is $135,000 - $150,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

How You Will Contribute
- Lead a team of People Business Partners supporting diverse business groups, and providing coaching, guidance, and strategic advisement to enable the execution of impactful people strategies.
- Provide ongoing advisory, mentoring, and performance management to ensure consistent delivery of People Business Partner services.
- Build People Business Partner team capability through skill development, and continuous improvement.
- Coach the team of People Business Partners to drive alignment of business unit strategic goals by identifying and implementing best practices in people management and organizational development
- Develop the teams capability and strengthen their analytical capabilities by using HR metrics to uncover trends, inform stakeholders, and shape data‑driven people strategies and decisions that support organizational growth and operational goals.
- Support People Business Partners in providing expert guidance to business leadership on employee performance, development, and engagement.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex People matters, providing guidance and ensuring consistency across the team.
- Lead and coordinate critical initiatives within the Global People Organization, such as Talent Acquisition and Performance Development, by enabling People Business Partners to deliver consistent and effective People programs, services and support across business units
- Oversee the critical connection between People Partners, People Programs, and People Services
- Establish credible working relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership and employee groups to align people strategies with firm-wide growth objectives
- Act as an advocate and champion for the organization’s core values and inclusive culture.
- Drive change management initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of organizational changes.
- 7 years of HR experience, preferably in a business partnering or advisory role
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, develop, and manage teams (preferably People Business Partners) in a dynamic environment
- Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to a fast paced, dynamic, growth-focused environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with a focus on integrity, diversity, and employee well-being.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and data analysis tools (Workday a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field; HR certification preferred
- Professional HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are highly valued
