Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and client correspondence with precision and clarity
- Prepare cases for trial by gathering evidence, coordinating depositions, and developing compelling courtroom arguments
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
- Maintain consistent communication with clients to update them on case progress and manage expectations effectively
- Stay current on relevant laws and procedural rules across jurisdictions to ensure compliance and effective advocacy
Skills
- Extensive experience in personal injury law and general & commercial litigation practices
- Strong knowledge of procedural law, court depositions, trial preparation, and legal motion drafting
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with persuasive legal advocacy abilities
- Familiarity with a broad range of legal areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, employment law, statutory legal research, contract drafting, employment law case experience, legal case management systems, and procedural law knowledge
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and motions
- Effective client communication skills to explain complex legal concepts simply and empathetically
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior law office experience with a strong understanding of legal administrative procedures
