We are seeking an experienced and driven Mining Operations Manager to oversee daily operations within our aggregate mining and trucking division. This role is ideal for a results-oriented leader with hands-on experience in aggregate production, trucking logistics, and heavy equipment operations.
The Mining Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while maintaining strict compliance with MSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations. The position requires a balance of operational oversight, leadership, and strategic planning to meet company goals and deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Lead and manage all aspects of aggregate mining and crushing operations to achieve daily and long-term production goals.
- Oversee and work with our dispatch for trucking and hauling operations, ensuring materials are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Develop and maintain production plans and schedules that align with customer demand and company objectives.
- Monitor material inventory, quality control, and stockpile management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with MSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and toolbox meetings.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all teams and departments.
- Maintain all operational and safety documentation required by regulatory agencies.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor plant operators, equipment operators, drivers, and maintenance personnel.
- Provide leadership, training, and performance feedback to ensure team success and career growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Maintenance & Equipment Management
- Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Work closely with mechanics and maintenance staff to ensure equipment is properly serviced and operational.
- Oversee equipment inspections and ensure all machinery meets safety and performance standards.
