Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients based on physician referral/orders and develop effective treatment plans with functional, goal-based outcomes
- Treat patients according to treatment plans and maintain productivity standards
- Record clinical documentation according to accepted regulatory and professional guidelines
- Communicate with patients, clients, and team members to ensure effective care
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, patient care conferences, and other meetings as required
- Collaborate with other departments, attending physicians, and committee members
- Screen patients based on identified need and provide education to patients and families
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas and departments
- Participate in in-service training programs and continuing educational programs
- Works in well-lighted and ventilated office and therapy areas
- Sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently throughout the workday
- Subject to frequent interruptions and hostile and emotionally upset patients and family members
- Must be constantly alert for patient safety
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a valid CA state license or eligibility to obtain license in state where services are provided
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and lift patients, medical equipment, supplies, etc. up to 50 lbs.
- Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
- Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with patients, clients, and team members
- Competitive hourly rate: $52 - $58 per hour depending on background experience
