Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Astoria Healthcare Center in Sylmar, CA. Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in a manner conducive to safety and comfort
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), vital signs, and weight measurements
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning
- Apply adaptive equipment as ordered
- Participate in care planning and implement care according to care plan
- Perform skin care treatments, apply simple clean dressings, and provide additional nourishment and hydration as needed
- Record patient intake and output
- Answer call lights, deliver messages, and clean areas of spillage or accidents
- Use Standard precautions when caring for patients and adhere to Contact and/or Droplet Precautions as indicated
- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
- Current BCLS certification
- No prior CNA experience required; new grads welcome!
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing related bedside patient care services
- Knowledge of basic medical asepsis and standard precautions
- Ability to contribute to a patient-centered environment
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer use or willingness to learn
