Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations:
- Coordinate and manage the daily dispatch of motor coaches, ensuring efficient and timely operations.
- Monitor routes and schedules, making adjustments as needed to address traffic conditions and other factors.
- Maintain communication with drivers to provide support and resolve issues that arise during operations.
Customer Service:
- Address customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols to minimize risk and ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch operations, including driver logs, route schedules, and incident reports.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on dispatch performance and metrics.
Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, the dispatch team, and senior management.
- Keep staff informed of any changes to routes, schedules, or company policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience in dispatch operations or a similar role.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in transportation or logistics.
- Familiarity with route planning and scheduling software.
