What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Alvah Contracting LLC?
Alvah Contracting is an outside line construction contractor performing work on behalf of PG&E, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As an Estimator, it is your responsibility to thoroughly review, price, and submit proposals for various RFP’s. This includes performing detailed review of job documents, compiling all project costs (including labor, materials, equipment), and assembling proposals for submission. This role directly impacts the profitability of projects and is critical in Alvah’s success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate and work directly with customers.
- Review project scope and assemble quantitative take-offs.
- Estimate labor, equipment, material quantities.
- Manage RFP timelines and submit pricing/proposals to customer.
- Update trackers with new and updated project information.
- Attend job walks and pre-bid meetings.
- Review and present bids with leadership.

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
