What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dev Ops Engineer position at Alva Energy?
Alva is developing advanced energy systems and seeking a DevOps Engineer to build and operate the internal infrastructure, security, and software reliability practices that support our engineering team. You will establish and run Alva’s internal cybersecurity program, including data loss prevention, manage core internal systems, and work closely with engineers to improve code quality, validation, and reliability.

- Establish and manage Alva’s internal cybersecurity program, including security policies,
- Lead implementation of data loss prevention measures across internal systems and
- Manage internal server infrastructure, including configuration, backup and recovery.
- Own identity and access management, including user provisioning, permissions,
- Manage Alva’s internal VPN and secure network access tools.
- Identify and manage infrastructure and cybersecurity risks; improve incident response
- Support onboarding by setting up accounts, permissions, devices, secure access
- Evaluate and implement tools for secure development, testing, deployment, monitoring,

- 5–10 years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering, infrastructure engineering,
- Hands-on experience administering internal servers, cloud or hybrid infrastructure, identity
- Experience with CI/CD systems, automated testing, code quality checks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or
