POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Afognak Native Corporation is seekinga strong Accounts Payable Technician. This position may be based in any of our three corporate offices: Huntsville, AL; Anchorage, AK; or Kodiak, AK or remote nationwide.
- Receive, review, troubleshoot andforward vendor invoices to appropriate approvers.
- Daily entry ofvendor invoices, internal payment requests and employee travel expenses.
- Review and select applicable open payable items to be processedon due date.
- Complete payment processing ofvendor payments.
- Review and reconcile monthly vendor statements for past due, duplicate charges, or credit invoices on assigned accounts.
- Maintain electronicfilenaming and storagesystems.
- Daily correspondence and collaboration via email, phone or messaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other dutiesor special projectsas assigned.
Payrate:$21.00 to $25.00 hourly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- H.S Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two(2) years ofAccountsPayable experienceis preferred.
- Detail-oriented teammember who is comfortable in a fast-paced open environment.
- Ability to work independently or part of a team.
- Ability to understand approval authorities based on Company Policies.
- Ability to follow directions, written and verbal.
- Excellentcommunication, customer service,data entryand organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams.
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of CostPointisrequired.
