Job Overview: Memory Program Coordinator
The Memory Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging, therapeutic activities tailored to residents with memory impairments, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. This role supports residents’ cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being by creating meaningful daily experiences that promote dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Collaborates with care staff to ensure programs are person-centered, structured, and aligned with each resident’s abilities, interests, and care plans. The position plays a key role in fostering a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment within the memory care community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead specialized activity programs designed for individuals with memory loss
- Adapt activities to meet varying cognitive and functional levels
- Encourage resident participation and social engagement in a supportive manner
- Collaborate with the Lifestyle/Activity Director to maintain a monthly program calendar
- Partner with nursing and caregiving staff to ensure activities align with resident care plans
- Monitor and document resident participation and responses to activities
- Assist with special events, family engagement opportunities, and holiday programming
- Maintain a safe and organized activity environment, including supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
- Experience in activities programming, memory care, or senior living preferred
- Understanding of dementia care best practices and person-centered programming
- Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient, and energetic approach to resident engagement
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Pay: $42,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
