Duties
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), including PC-DMIS software, to perform precise dimensional inspections of machined parts and assemblies
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to accurately measure components
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and tooling to verify conformance to specifications
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, calibration records, and documentation in compliance with ISO 13485, AS9100, and ISO 9001 standards
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and recommend process improvements for enhanced quality assurance
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols while handling mechanical tools and measuring equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Support calibration activities for measurement tools and coordinate with quality assurance teams to uphold calibration schedules
Experience
- Proven experience operating CMM equipment, preferably with Zeiss or similar software platforms
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and dimensional inspection techniques
- Familiarity with machining processes, tooling setups, and CNC operations enhances your ability to interpret manufacturing requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with experience using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and schematics
- Prior experience working within a regulated environment that emphasizes quality control and quality assurance practices
