Job Title: CNC Setup Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Operator with experience on Haas machines to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines (primarily Haas) according to job specifications and work orders.
- Load and align tools, fixtures, and materials for production runs.
- Verify machine programs, offsets, and tooling are correct before production.
- Perform trial runs and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to confirm specifications.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance, including lubrication and tool replacement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine or process issues.
- Document production data, setup parameters, and adjustments.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and production teams to optimize processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Setup Operator, ideally on Haas machines.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, dial indicator, etc.).
- Knowledge of CNC programming (G-code, M-code) is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks with precision.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements is mandatory.
Compensation:
· Starting pay range: $22-$26/hour
