About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in supporting our sales operations by delivering exceptional service to our customers and internal sales staff. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and can balance administrative precision with a positive, problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, including order status, delivery updates, documentation requests, and general support.
- Prepare and send quotes for standard product offerings with speed and accuracy.
- Coordinate and process sample requests, order confirmations, and packing slip generation.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments such as sales, logistics, and production to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer needs.
- Monitor open orders, proactively provide customers with shipping updates, and manage exceptions or delays professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
- Support the Regional Sales Managers and VP of Sales with administrative sales tasks such as customer setup, quoting assistance, and documentation preparation.
- Identify customer issues and resolve them with urgency, escalating to the appropriate team when needed.
- Assist in identifying potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities and relay qualified leads to the sales team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes related to customer service and order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a customer service, sales support, or inside sales role; experience in manufacturing or distribution is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and follow-through.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP or CRM systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Detail-oriented and solutions-focused with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
