Job Summary
Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Child Nutrition Services Management Team, oversees advanced kitchen operations and plays a key leadership role in training staff, ensuring compliance with federal and food safety regulations, enhancing student engagement through exceptional service, and performing routine food service operations such as ordering, receiving, food storage, food preparation, and serving of reimbursable meals. Responsible for supporting menu development, maintaining a positive cafeteria environment, and driving in-creased meal participation. Please see job description for further details REQUIREMENTS: • Five years of quantity food preparation experience; • Cooking and baking experience with diverse food items; • Experience in training and leading staff; • Proficient in utilizing school food service data processing software; • Alternatively, a combination of education and practical experience demonstrates the development of the required knowledge and abilities and • Valid ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent.
