Industrial Controls/PLC Technician

What You’ll Do
As a Controls/PLC Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our production systems are running efficiently and safely by maintaining and improving our automation and electrical control systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and related instrumentation and controls
- Diagnose and repair electrical and automation systems to reduce downtime and increase productivity
- Read and interpret schematics, ladder logic, P&ID drawings, and technical manuals
- Program and modify PLCs and HMIs to enhance automation performance
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on equipment upgrades and installations
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure long-term reliability of systems
- Maintain documentation of all control system modifications and backups
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
- Provide technical guidance to operators and mechanics regarding electrical safety and system use
- Attend relevant meetings and communicate effectively across departments
- Support emergency repair needs and scheduled maintenance alongside other team members
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and automation equipment
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and technical documentation
- Familiarity with VFDs, sensors, and industrial instrumentation
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
