We are a World Class Foundry in our industry which is an established 65-old manufacturing company that is expanding and looking for a loyal and professional Pattern Maker with a minimum of two (3) years of Pattern making experience and /or a degree in Engineering. We are seeking someone who is excited about working in a highly stable, fast paced and growing industry.

We currently have a Pattern Maker position available in our Bensenville, IL. office for candidates who have pattern making experience or a degree in Engineering, and are interested in working in a family owned, family orientated kind environment.
The primary functions include, but are not limited to:
Essential Functions:
- Knowledge of Foundry processes is a big plus!
- Covert engineering drawings into effective foundry patterns and core boxes.
- Ability to calculate casting weight and develop design for costing.
- Familiarity with gating, risering and foundry methods.
- Experienced in reviewing casting drawings and new pattern/tooling development.
- Ability to assist in the planning and making of a layout for a pattern from the mechanical drawing of the finished article.
- Experience in safety processes in the plant including environmental policies and standard SOPs.
- Basic understanding of molding and core making processes along with tilt/pour mold processes.
- Prototype design, machining, 3D modeling, programming or pattern making.
- Ability to review and interpret blueprints of parts to be cast, computing dimensions, and plan the sequences of operations.
- Ability to lay out patterns into sections according to shape of casting to facilitate removal of pattern from the mold, including coring, gating, and other foundry practices with the appropriate marking and measuring devices.
- Perform Cutting, forming, and shaping pattern parts using general shop machinery such as power sawing machines, drilling and boring machines, lathes, planning and smoothing machines, grinders, sanders, milling and automatic control machine.
Qualifications:
- -Ability to assist in the planning and making of a layout for a pattern from start to finish
- -Knowledge of Foundry process preferred
- -CNC experience
- -Basic understanding of molding and core making processes
- -Prototype design and 3D modeling
- -Perform cutting, forming, shaping of pattern parts using general shop machinery

Compensation:
- $50K-60K

Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1/2 Hour Lunch)
Required Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of Pattern Maker experience.
Required Education
- Associates Degree preferred.
