Role Description The Senior Property Accountant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ, with some flexibility to work from home. This role is responsible for the day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of data center properties, including preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling balance sheet accounts. The Senior Property Accountant prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supports budgeting and forecasting, and assists with variance analysis and performance reporting at the property level. The role coordinates with property management, asset management, and operations teams to ensure accurate billing, expense tracking, and capital project accounting. Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Accounting and Finance, with experience in real estate or property accounting preferred.
- Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for multiple entities or properties.
- Hands-on experience with Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting or ERP software; experience with property management systems is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is beneficial.
- Ability to analyze financial data, explain variances, and communicate findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting, collaborating effectively with on-site and remote team members.
